As the title suggests, is a potential Derrick White to the Warriors trade really this simple?
Obviously no single trade is ever as it seems, except for maybe the Giddey-Caruso one, but most trades have a certain angle to it that could leave one side dumbfounded or exhilarated. But in this scenario it truly is as simple as it seems.

Boston shaves off cap space, getting younger and adding some role players so that when Tatum comes back, rather than an old roster on the decline they're now young, spry, rejuvenated and ready to compete once again. Nothing more nothing less.
As for the Warriors, reports say they've been eyeing DWhite for a while now and Tatum's injury has just opened an opportunity for them to finally land Curry's ideal backcourt pair. White is a perfect 2 for this lineup, his elite defensive side of the ball and his lethal offensive game would prove to be an amazing fit next to Curry and Jimmy Butler. All it'll cost them is some of their youth but their timeline to compete is now so I highly doubt their looking to develop talent, especially when all that talent is role player material which isn't bad but not exactly much to look forward to once their "last chance" is over.

So, is it really that simple? Both sides have a clear vision and understand what they need from each other in this trade, is that all there is to it? Also, I played around with who would be moved to the Celtics between Moody and Buddy, I ended up deciding Moody because like I said the Warriors aren't looking to develop talent right now (and if they are well they shouldn't) and as of right now, Buddy has shown to be more trusted and better in the rotation than Moody.
What do y'all think?
