JUDGE THE FRAMEWORK NOT THE TRADE

SUCCESS

DISCLAIMER: There's a lot going on here, I'm not really sure how to allocate the picks in this trade but I really like the framework of this deal and thought it was worth sharing.

Kings: The Kings need to get younger. I feel like they really lack direction. This trade allows them to get the franchise point guard they need. They get younger. Keegan, Clifford, Missi plus Trae, at least they can draft some guys who can develop while Trae enters his prime. Similar situation to what's happening in Atlanta right now, except they are beginning to realize they maybe better off without him anyways. The Kings have too many guards on the roster, so it's best to get rid of some while still retaining somebody who could benefit this team.

Hawks: I think this trade turns them into an absolute powerhouse. Daniels, NAW, Trey Murphy, Lauri and Onyeka are unbelievably versatile. The spacing is unreal, the defense is great. I would love to watch this team. Trey is being paid 25 mil the next 4 years. Onyeka less than twenty. Dyson around 25. NAW less than 20 for the next 3 years. I mean they are literally set. They get Nurkic off the bench as well. All their starters are less than 30 years old.

Pelicans: In an ideal world they are able to reacquire their first round pick however there is no guarantee of that in this deal. They attempt to get younger with Risacher. They also get Keon Ellis who I think has immense potential and can be retained on a bargain deal next summer.

Jazz: The Jazz are rebuilding, I think Lauri will not be the most effective in a rebuilding team like Utah and should be moved. They will definitely receive picks in this trade. Kristaps is expiring and could probably be retained next summer for 25M or less. Demar is a great veteran presence and can add a much needed scoring punch to a team that could sneak into the play in.
