Here's one way to get Giannis to NY by moving Knicks' stars to other teams for picks. I think the Portland versions are the simplest but this could work too.
Milwaukee's biggest problem is getting a good pick in 2027. They will get a good pick in the swap this year, but next year's swap is messy because ATL and NOP both need to agree given the protections. So how do you get good 2027 picks from a team for a win-now vet, which theoretically will pick in the 20's (this is my problem with the Miami deals)? You have to get picks or swaps from good teams that hold bad teams' picks.
Charlotte has Dallas lightly protected 2027 pick. Dallas could be good next year but probably not great yet. Hornets get OG to help their defense and size for a couple of picks to Bucks.
Ball - Kneuppel - Miller - OG - Diabate
Rockets have the Nets 2027 pick which should be good. They need a PG desperately. The Bulls have a bunch of expiring contracts that they should unload, including Coby White, who they send to Houston. Then Houston sends that Nets pick to Bucks. Bulls get an offensive weapon in KAT for a low price - maybe they send Bucks another pick.
White - Amen - Durant - Smith - Sengun
Giddey - Dosunmu - Huerter - Buzelis - KAT
All this sends lots of quality picks and swaps (including 2 farther out Knicks swaps that should be excellent) to Bucks, plus a couple of younger players.
The Knicks get Giannis and can use Vuc to replace KAT's minutes to some degree.
Brunson - Hart - Bridges - Giannis - Vuc/Mitch
