Clippers: MPJ, Cam Thomas, Noah Clowney

Nets: John Collins, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Bradley Beal, 2031 & 2032 Clippers 1st Swap

The Clippers don't control their first round pick until 2030...their future is looking bleak. Most of the time when the future looks bleak, you should look to cash in the assets you do have, call it quits, and try again later. NOT TODAY!! The Clippers use every last bit of juice they have left for one more swing.

The Clippers get a massive upgrade in terms of 1 for 1 swap coming from MPJ for Collins, and then you look at moving off of Bogdan's horrible contract, and you give up on the Beal experience to add what could be the best scoring guard off the bench in the league in the right situation, in Cam Thomas (I really think this could be that perfect situation), and a stud of a role player young guy in Noah Clowney for more depth that the Clippers desperately need.

The Nets get next to nothing, if not negative, value in terms of players contracts, however...they could be very well be looking at back to back 1st overall picks with these two pick swaps. In this universe, the Clippers would have control of their 2030 pick, and that's literally it in terms of 1st round picks. You combine this fact with the fact that there is no shot Kawhi and Harden will be playing in 2031, this Clippers team could genuinely be in one of the worst spots a team has ever been in, and the Nets could cash in on that. There are definitely better trades the Nets can make, in terms of getting talent back, but if their priority is future draft value...I don't think anyone can beat this value.

This obviously depends on what the Nets value more, talent now, or future assets, but if they value the assets, I love this trade for both teams. Let me know who says no!
