Rockets pretty simple- DFS had horrible year and his contract currently looks shocking and they clearly have things they need to fill by doing this trade they get cap space to try improve their roster in free agency or for another trade. Mavs- made it clear they’ll most likely trade kyrie wont get the best package since he’s been injured all year but some expirings a 1st and a boat load of seconds I think is a decent package compared to what some all star type players have been traded for recently like Trae for example who didn’t even get a single pick. Wolves- get their PG they’ve so badly needed for ages now and improve their second option in one move also take on DFS contract and hope he gets Back to last seasons form ( I think this is very possible since he’s missed tones of time this season and has just looked very rusty I think a healthy off season will help that) Pistons- They’ve been good this year yes but clearly need a secondary creator julius can be that maybe not the best but he can do it while also getting around 20 a game this should help Cade a lot, my favourite but maybe underrated part of this trade is Donte to Detroit he is the most perfect fit next to Cade, his value has gone down the past 2 years since he’s had to play more of a PG role when he is way better playing off a good playmaking PG like Cade, he’ll fit perfectly next to him with his secondary ball handling decent playmaking great shooting, off ball movement and really underrated defending and rebounding. Overall- I think this trade makes decent sense for everyone personally but it was just a rough idea of a trade as I definitely believe both Pistons and Wolves need to go 2nd option hunting this offseason and I think this decently does it for both team. I’d love to hear any of your feedback.
