Pick 22 the Suns select Kyshawn George
Explanation: The Suns seek out a connector with size that can shoot and that is what George is. He doesn't offer much upside but can likely play alongside stars, which Phoenix has.
Free Agency
The Suns resign Royce O'Neale to a 2 year 27 million dollar deal starting at 13 million, just over the MLE. This allows them to trade Royce midseason for someone signed to a MLE contract this offseason.
Signing Robert Covington to a 2 year deal starting at the minimum with a player option in the final year gives the Suns some versatility up front.
Signing Spencer Dinwiddie to a 2 year deal starting at the minimum with a player option in the final year gives the Suns a veteran point guard that can step in during crucial moments.
After losing Bol Bol to a team capable of paying more, the Suns target recently released Omer Yurtseven giving him a 2 year deal starting at the minimum with the 2nd year as a player option.

The bench is much improved with Dinwiddie and Allen providing reliable minutes off the bench. The rookie George gets minutes with the starters often along with Eubanks and Robert Covington. Gordon, Yurtseven and Okogie all get minutes during different times.
During the season
The team isn't much different than last year but with better health luck. However, O'Neale underperforms and is traded with a FRP in order to bring in a bit more size. KD moves to the 4 when Allen gets moved back into the starting lineup allowing Dinwiddie and EG to be the oldest backup back court in the league. It also clarifies roles as whomever they acquire for O'Neale comes in as a wing bench piece taking minutes from George and Eubanks. Covington plays some small ball 5 to help keep the offense going. Nurkic is also looked at as a potential trade piece in combination with O'Neale.
