With the restrictions of the new salary rules, Boston needs to make a move to save some money and get a good return for it. So they trade Derrick White to adquire Marcus Smart (which will probably be dismissed in a buyout) and 3 first round picks from San Antonio. To be able to do this trade, San Antonio gives up on Devin Vassel to receive in return a not very good first and two seconds.

Celtics solve their financial problems, getting some good draft capital;

Washington receive a good asset in Vassel in exchange for a bad contract and not so much draft picks;

And Spurs gets a veteran star that can make this team way more competitive.
