The Blazzers have checkmated all the teams in the league and put themselves in a position to be the main favorites to land Giannis.

First, they brought Lillard back after he was injured. It's no secret that the two of them are friends, not just former teammates. They brought in Jrue Holiday last season, who is also a former teammate of Giannis and together they were ring winners in 2021.

Second, is that Portland has right on 2 swaps picks (2028 and 2030), guess which team? Yes from the Bucks. This makes it impossible for the Bucks to begin a peaceful rebuilding because they do not have the right to their picks.

The third, is that the Bucks said what they want, which is a "blue chip" player or a haul of picks. Portland has a couple of young and promising players who will certainly be interesting to the Bucks. In my opinion, Scoot Henderson stands out the most, as he was the 2nd RP behind Wemby. The only downside to this trade is that, say, Giannis really doesn't want to go to Portland or that Portland doesn't want to risk their assets if Giannis thinks about leaving 2 years from now.

But there are too many links for this trade not to happen.
