Raptors trade for a star to play alongside Siakam. Siakam is the only star on our team. We’ve got Vanvleet but I wouldn’t consider him a star, just a good starter. Teams like Celtics, 76ers, Cavs, Suns, etc all have at least 2 stars. And theirs also teams like Nuggets and Bucks who have 1 superstar to carry their team. Siakam is no superstar. He needs another star to help him or else this team will keep being a first round exit. Scottie could possibly be that help but he still need a few years to progress into that level. Raptors trade two very good young players for Jimmy Butler. This is definitely a win now move. A lot of people are suggesting trading Siakam and Vanvleet and building around OG, GTJ and Scottie, but if we were to buy and try to win now this would be a solid deal.

Not a bad deal for Miami either in my opinion. They get 2 very good young players who are only getting better. They already have two young pieces in Bam and Herro. Adding another two young quality players could make them a fun team with title hopes in the near future.
