From the Cavs perspective, this is if they cannot agree on an extension with Donovan Mitchell. They get Jalen Green who is super young and has great potential, and they would be able to extend him after this year. They also get 3 first round picks from Houston. The draft capital is less than included in the Mikal Bridges trade because Jalen Green is an asset in the form of a player going over in the trade as well.

The Rockets buy in and get a star. They can run VanVleet, Mitchell, Amen, Jabari, and Sengun, and still have Sheppard, Whitmore, Jeff Green, Jae'Sean Tate, Tari Eason, and Steven Adams coming off the bench. With this team, they are a top 6 team in the West and might be able to make a WCF run in the playoffs, depending on the growth of their young talent and who they're matched up against.

Cavs move forward with a core of Garland, Green, and Mobley, and probably go on to trade Jarrett Allen, Caris LeVert, and maybe eventually Max Strus.
