Move out of Trae young asking out for the upside of AD. Leaning into Johnson and AD to handle the offensive load. AD is able to play his ideal position of the 4 with KP and Onyeka handling the defensive roles at the 5 and perimeter defense is already ideal for this team. They’re upgrading to a defensive team with high level scorers with size in a weak
Bucks
Strictly to try and keep Giannis from leaving, it's the same thing as Dame which Giannis wanted and you're buying at an all-time low, Moving a pick swap in 2028 isn't mortgaging the future and with the amount of guard play they have spacing for Giannis should be ideal without Myles who has not be what the buck expected from a rebounding or a PPG aspect. Kuzma is a casualty but not one the bucks will miss all that much.
3.Mavs
Moving AD to allow Flagg to run his own team and embracing the rebuild. CJ is a great expiring contract and instant guard play they would be looking for plus decent spacing and good veteran presence with Kyrie injured. Kuzma is now a low minute scoring of the bench player behind Flagg, and PJ Washington and Moving Ad gives Gafford and massive role with Lively out until what looks like March allowing you to assess the roster with all the young talent while rebuilding with Flagg on the rookie deal. And Some decent cap space going into 2026 and what is expected to be a top 3 pick an offseason move could be massive.
Wizards • It’s a haul for CJ two seconds. The cap space is a concern as NO free agent will want to go to Washington so landing another young player in Kominga and Moody is ideal. Some championship medal to try and turn this franchise around.
Warriors
• Probably the best big they have in the Curry era? Floor spacing and moderate rim protection makes a lot of sense when you have the rebounding Draymond and Jimmy. A slow-paced offense with a true stretch big who doesn’t need a lot of touches makes a lot of sense in this stacked west. Doesn’t make the true contenders but they are a better team post this move as Kominga spot minutes are doing nothing for them and moody is also seeing his lost in the touches with Pods and Post emergence the center position is a larger need and two seconds to replenish some young depth for 2026-27 season. Deal needs to be done post Jan 15th
