Coby White to the Rockets for DFS, a swap, and 3 SRPs.

Rockets: In desperate need of solid guard play in the wake of the Fred injury. Shepard has been solid and is continuing to develop. Still, I think the acquisition of Coby White solidifies their rotation and allows Shepard to continue to grow without the same expectations. White is an immediate upgrade, and DFS, a swap, and SRPs are a fair price given White's contract. If he leaves in free agency, this price does not break the team's future. DFS is a great role player, and I love that Houston stole him from the Lakers.

Bulls: They get a solid 3 and D player on a reasonable long-term contract and still gain solid draft capital for the expiring contract of Coby White. Chicago has floundered since Coby returned from Injury, and moving off him will benefit the team in both the short and long term. I genuinely do not believe that a core of Giddey and White can go far in the playoffs, especially when White asks for 35+ million dollars this offseason. Getting a swap and SRPs as well as DFS allows them to solidify a rotation around Giddey and Buzelis while still holding onto the large amount of expiring money that the Bulls will be able to use to get high-level free agents. I hope the Bulls cash in on Coby White's value, but recent history shows that Bulls ownership would rather let their players age and walk in free agency than commit to making the team better.
