Why the Suns do this:

They can’t really do anything to rebuild because they don’t have their own picks, so Phoenix leverages more of their future to build the big 3 of Booker KD and Jimmy which should hopefully go deeper in the playoffs than last year

Why Miami does this:

The Heat can choose the route of remaining playoff contenders and this does that. Tyus fits like a glove next to Herro and Bam and Tobias can take some of the scoring load as can THJ when he has a good night.

Why the Pistons do this:

Ivey just got injured for the year but the Pistons are in position to make the second round and maybe deeper if they get a little luck. Beal is good enough at the 2 guard next to someone like Cade that it’s worth it for them.

Why Beal does this:

Beal has a no trade clause so you have to justify the trade to him as well. This Pistons team is the best shot at a conference Finals in Beal’s career so far. A perfect fit, and a team on the rise, the exact opposite direction of the sinking ship called the Suns. No reason for Beal to stay in a bad situation when he has this opportunity
