Cam Thomas to Clippers, Beal's trash ahh gets shipped to Brooklyn

Does this trade makes sense?

FOR THE CLIPPERS:
  • It definitely does. They need all the help they can get, but a young rising star(?) with a natural feel in scoring the ball is what I think they need the most.

  • There are talks about them pursuing a Melo Ball trade, but I don't think they have the assets to get him. Cam is much cheaper and with an experience of already playing with Harden, putting hin under his wing, might make him flourish as their next franchise player.

FOR BROOKLYN:
  • It might not make sense, and some of you might call me an idiot for even thinking this is a fair deal for both sides. But we have to keep in mind that Cam is an UFA next season, with no guarantees that he might come back. You could argue he doesn't want to be in Brooklyn anymore and that he's for sure leaving next season. But if the Nets FO get the signal that Cam doesn't want to stay there, then this is a good value for them.

  • Cam Thomas has little to no value now around the league. It's obvious they don't think highly of him, if they did then he should've been paid big bucks by now. Getting three SRPs from an aging team could be of high value in the long run, especially if you're giving up a player you think is not a part of the plan of your future anymore
