Realistically OKC doesn't need to mess with their chemistry but Wemby is a potential problem and Giannis and Wemby teaming up isn't something they want to deal with for the next however long in the playoffs. They give up some of their haul including the coveted clippers pick but still have at least one first rounder in every year and keep Giannis from teaming up with SA while keeping their core intact. If this isn't enough they probably add more first rounders rather than put one of Chet or Jalen in. It really is an embarrassment of riches at this point.
