I know Blazers fans may burn me at the stake for this but just listen. The reason Deni is playing so well is because he was able to be the Primary Ball Handler for Portland (almost their entire backcourt was Injured). Now you have Ja, Scoot and Dame (and maybe Jrue). So if Deni is to stay on the Blazers he will have to convert back into a Off ball wing (which he struggled as in Washington.) So the Blazers need to sell High on Deni and get rid of the log jam (including shipping of Jrue). Reed Sheppard will help with spacing in the back court and all of the picks are in the near future (and Valuable). With those picks,The blazers will be able to build now and contend in the next 2-3 years.
The Rockets need a Ball handler, they were rumored for Ja and they might try to get Jrue. But as I said, Deni plays his best when he has the ball in his hand. And thats what he will get in Houston. This sets up Houston for a playoff push. Or they could trade KD and still have a young enough core to contend next year or the year after. whats your thoughs?
