Phoenix does this to add someone that can still score the ball and be a great playmaker that already has experience playing with KD and while this trade doesn't make much sense for Philly considering that they wouldn't want CP, in a sign and trade they have to recoup some assets so they get two solid role players for depth and they would have to hope that CP can still play at a good level.
