The grizzlies open up salary and get younger plus a bonus couple seconds not sure if they are necessary let me know on that

The Clippers move towards the future post the failed big 3 and get a great return here with the pick and swap plus a younger all star in BI who will finally get a chance to be the number 1 guy with a star level PG to tandem with the clippers may ask for an extra couple of seconds or another protected first but this feels solid in spite of the Poetle contract

As for Toronto this may seem like a short sided move and it is technically but they still have young talent and with Kahwi expiring they can instantly reload and be good again with some slightly different core players

As for them not having a real center at the moment that will be addressed in part 2

Overall I think this trade makes sense for them they move off the terrible Poetle contract they bring in a star player who fits what the team wants/needs and Beal to provide a little extra juice at times off the bench and Ty Jerome to be a player they can take in and out of the starting 5 as needed
