Reason why- The Hornets trade Rozier because they have 3 guards currently and even though this season Rozier has been the better guard along side Lamelo Ball, Devonte Graham wouldn’t get the deal done. Making this trade, The hornets are banking on KPs injury problems not being an issue and for him to help them make the playoffs.

Mavs- Trade away- KP

Receive- Terry Rozier, Vernon Carey Jr, 2nd round picks from this years draft

Reasons why- The Mavs do this trade to get off KPs contract and injury problems to make Luka Doncic the main star of the team/ start to build around him. Bringing in Rozier give Luka a consistent shooter in the backcourt who can also run the show when Lula sits. They also pick up Carey to be a project centre they can mold into a player they can use in the future and to back up a centre they sign in free agency this off-season.
