Trade:
Pelicans: Mike Muscala
Thunder: Davis Bertans, Josh Green, Day'Ron Sharpe, 26th pick, 2024 CHI srp
Nets: Kenrich Williams
Pistons: Garrett Temple, 2027 DAL srp, 52th pick
Mavs: Carsen Edwards, Ty Jerome, 30th pick
Pelicans:
Around Zion, Pels want stretch bigs, to fill out Zion's lack of shooting. Pels can use another stretch big, so they trade for Muscala here. Easy
Lineup: Brogdon CJ Ingram Zion Jonas
Reserves: Alvarado Herb Trey Murphy Nance Muscala (41th pick) (FA)
Remarks: players linked up with my Brogdon trade to Pels (https://fanspo.com/nba/s/general/trades/PwWC-1ewHnWZ5x/pacers-get-rid-of-vets-lakers-get-shooters-hornets-move-up-pels-get-the-pg-they-want), pls check that out also :)
Expectation: 5-7th seed
Nets:
It has not been a good season for the Nets, next season Ben will come back. Just to add some more fire power to this team which wants win now, they will move sophomore Sharpe for Williams, who is a very solid 3&D player.
Lineup: Kyrie, Curry, Ben, KD, Claxton
Reserves: Harris, Williams, Mills, Thomas, Edwards, (2 FA)
Expectation: 4-6th seed
OKC:
They are still in rebuilding, they can still eat bad contracts and get picks from that. They will get 2 extra srp for eating his bad contract and getting off Muscala who's a vet and doesn't fit their timeline. They will get Sharpe for Williams, he's a young center, who did show a bit potential. He didn't get lot of chance in his rookie season, and OKC is lacking bigs, i think Sharpe will have 20+ mins every game in OKC. They also eat the HUGE contract of Bertans, and will also get back Josh Green, a solid 3&D young player, Frank Ntilikina, who's a good defending young player, I put him in cus i think Mavs don't want to give another pick out so they rather trade Ntilikina. Jerome isn't old, but seems like he's not on the team's future plan, so OKC will trade him.
Lineup: Giddey, Shai, Mathurin, JSJ, Sharpe
Reserves: Mann, Dort, Bazley, Green, Poku, (26th pick), (34th pick), Roby, JRE, Wiggins
Remarks: idk what will they do with Bertans, maybe buyout? but don't think he will even touch the rotation
Expectation: 12-14 seed
Pistons:
They are in rebuilding process, they will be interested to get back more picks, and they're welcome to eat bad contracts. They will eat Temple for 2 years, but also getting back 2 srp.
Lineup: Ivey Cade Bey Collins Stewart
Reserves: Joseph Hayes Garza Lee Jackson Olynyk (46th pick) (52th pick)
Remarks: Temple won't touch the rotation also. Also roster linked up with the Hawks offseason trade: https://fanspo.com/nba/s/general/trades/n-8rS1dnuiqeyU/the-offseason-trades-for-the-atlanta-hawks-needed, pls also check that out :)
Expectation: 12-14th seed
Mavs:
Basically i do this trade cus i think they're trying to clear cap space to resign Brunson. They have to give up young player Green, moving down 4 spots, and 1 srp, to get back Jerome, who i think can be a rotational guy, and Edwards who won't be in the rotation. But with this, they cleared up 17M of cap space, and they can get back Brunson, who is super crucial for them, especially in this playoffs.
Lineup: Doncic Brunson DFS Kleber Holmes
Reserves: Dinwiddle THJ Bullock Jerome Burke (FA) (30th pick) Frank
Remarks: Roster linked up with the Kings trade: https://fanspo.com/nba/s/general/trades/orsXhaGq3-XCLA/helping-the-kings-to-get-more-consistent-scoring, pls also check that out :)
Expectation: 4-6th seed
