Conley is the exact kind of point guard that would give Wembenyama the best rookie season possible on this spurs team as possibly the leagues best veteran floor general to quiet things down, as well as allowing Sochan to make mistakes as he slips into a point forward role moving forward. His contract isn’t great but it doesn’t matter much on a team that has the second most money in the league this offseason. They also add Naz Reid as a small ball center depending on where they want to play Wembenyama and Zach Collins.
Wolves desperately need to cut cash, get shooting, and get younger. Tre Jones seems like a great option as a solid starting point guard of the future who is never going to make huge money but will still run the team smoothly. Naz Reid does not sound like he wants to return next year and getting back solid bench floor spacer McDermot and probable quiet, steady point man of the future Jones while cutting over 10 million from the books sounds like a dream. (Also resigning NAW is a must, bro was their their fourth best player in the series against denver and outplayed max contract first overall pick KAT)
