This would instantly make Cle a Fav in the East & Accelerate their timeline to win titles now.
Garland has great potential & he is only 23 but he is not that explosive athlete that can get his own. He's great in P n R. He's not great off ball though. He needs ball in his hand. Defensively he's a negative. Though improved he's a liability.
Lillard is same way on Def but difference is Lillard can get his own when he wants. He is a better shot maker.. he is clutch & thrives in.big momens.
Garland was shut down in playoffs by Knicks & struggled. Lillard teaming up w da Spider.. both Adidas guys. Look out.
It fits timeline w Mitchell & accelerates it. Ultimately Cavs will go only as far as Mobley improves in Year 3. He needs to stop shooting 3s imho & play post & Defensively. Screen & Roll like Bam Adebayo in Miami.. he needs to dominate the block & set screens for Strus who will bring much needed movement.

Why make this Trade.. bc u are rebuilding & a 23 yr old Star potential in D Garland is better than any player Miami.heat can give you..
Get DG & scoot w Anfernee Simon's & S Sharpe & rebuild is jump started w nice pieces.. you can always move DG for lots of picks later on.. he is only 23 & Miami heat or Nets got nothing close to that. Unless u want a useless ben.simmons or Kyle Lowry w some picks it makes no sense to pass of Garland if Portland wants him back.
