WIn totals for each team before renounced contracts: Suns unaffected, Spurs +4, Warriors -1.
Spurs get Kevin Durant for vet guidance to bolster offense, then get Kuminga to replace the starting forwards they lost getting KD. Warriors may need more draft compensation than I included but this is just a rough draft of a trade. Spurs also sign Guerschon Yabusele from the 76ers, who would be a great bench contributor and has chemistry with Wembanyama from playing on the French national team. Spurs also get Gui Santos, who can be good forward depth. Spurs fill out the roster with draft, drafting Dylan Harper at #2 and Bogoljub Markovic or Chaz Lanier at #38. It is unlikely they will resign Chris Paul due to his desire to start and the crowded backcourt of the spurs. They will also likely let Bismack Biyombo, Charles Bassey, and Jordan McLaughlin go.
Suns clear nearly $2 mil in cap space, as well as adding to limited draft assets and getting a lot of youth. Sochan may get extended soon which would cost the Suns, or they might do what the Warriors did with Kuminga last season. Many of their renounced cap holds have not played in years. The only renounced cap hold that played this season is Mason Plumlee, because he is expected to retire. I did not include who the Suns will draft and resign.
Warriors land good depth to try to contend while they still can. Keldon Johnson is more experienced, more consistent, and cheaper alternative to Kuminga, although Kuminga has a higher potential. They also get Malaki Branham as young, talented guard depth. Warriors also had a lot of cap holds for players who are out of the league. I did not include who the Warriors will draft and resign.
