I haven't spent too much time thinking about this, but was doing a Mock Draft and thought this might work. Kawhi only has 2-3 years left in the league and he just had his best offensive season of his career. The Hornets make a move to add him to their incredible young core and add some much needed defence.
PG - LaMelo Ball SG - Brandon Miller SF - Kon Knueppel PF - Kawhi Leonard C - Ryan Kalkbrenner / Moussa Diabate
The Clippers get younger adding another pick this year, as well as Josh Green and Miles Bridges who can be good players for any team their on.
PG - Darius Garland SG - Keaton Wagler SF - Bennedict Mathurin? PF - Miles Bridges C - Jayden Quaintance
I've made a Mock Draft to work with this trade. I think both teams address what they need. The Clippers need to get younger and be okay without tanking. The Hornets are one piece away from being one piece away. They are close to getting away from that Play-in place, and in a week Eastern conference adding Kawhi could push them a lot higher.
I would love to hear thoughts and opinions on this.
