let’s lock in here, it failed because the magic is around 20 million over the cap, but they did just waive jonathan isaac and they didn’t update it so it goes down to just under 5 million. i think the nuggets take this trade easily because i just don’t see jonas in their future, murray doesn’t work as he used to in 2023, cam johnson was a disappointment. they would still have the spacing, maybe just need a better player maker, but they would also expect watson to step forward a little bit, aaron gordon more offensively and they get bane to be that combo guard, they also get wendall carter, good spacer, better than jonas, and just a better fit with jokic i feel like, you still get one of the best veteran point guards in the league. which might make the rockets not accept this, they get a young guard and a forward that can stretch the floor, maybe jase richardson can learn a thing or two from his dad and become a good guard that the rockets can actually trade. the warriors would take this in a heartbeat, yknow getting another foward and a veteran big man that lets al horford be the 4 instead a 5. i genuinely don’t think the magic accepts this, they should but they probably think they are one good trade away from contending, but i just don’t think they can contend with wagner and paolo, they don’t work together, i think especially with this new draft lottery, with wagner and murray they won’t be the worst team in the league but at the bottom, and get a top pick in this draft, j think they need to rebuild, they get 2 valuable picks in the future and i could see them becoming a top team in 4-5 years, if they draft right.
