I think this is a great deal for both teams, lakers get a win now player bc grant can still be a good player I believe, backup center and restock on seconds, while Portland sheds 22 of grants 32 mill salary, get two good vets who they can cut if they really don’t want them and a good defender when healthy just for getting off a big contract and giving up spare assets they don’t need.

For Portland fans that don’t like this, remember this young core gonna have to start getting paid in 2027 so your gonna have to clear grants money eventually so more of a long term play.

I already know laker fans won’t like this because they have a mindset they think they can get players out of there price range but in the real world this is what makes sense.
