An underrated and promising part of this trade would be Toronto's added talent to the 4/5 spot. In the past Toronto has been a fan of their scoring Bigs. Siakam was most recent, before him there was: Serge, Gasol, Valančiūnas, Bosh... It may be a Bet on my part, but I believe Bol could really break-out in a Raptors uniform. And for a 2ⁿᵈ? I will take that bet, and jumpstart this train asap! On-top of that the Raptors get a flashier Back-up to their PG spot. Who has a TON of potential and who can deliver entertaining, high tempo basketball for the fans. He personally benefits from this also, getting the new start he needs with a team that will back him.

The Suns get more depth at the PG spot. Adding not 1, but 2 very competent options behind Tyus. Truly ending their woes at the Guard position for good. - And ensuring they've reinforcements at that spot come playoff time.

  • That said, this does leave them with an extra PG in Monte who IS good in his own right, but would become the odd man out in favour of these 2 new defensive guards. Instead of overcomplicating this trade, I've decided to just establish this step for them 1st. Monte can be traded later... The Suns also receive a 2nd pick. Now, I went back and forth on whether it should be Phoenix or LA to receive the pick. And given that the Suns lose Royce, which (although the Clips are only getting back 1 player) He is the more valuable in the scheme of this trade... 1 pick, even if it's just a 2ⁿᵈ, would be appreciated more by the Suns.

The clippers Get a starting calibre bench guy who can work overtime on 'The Claw's' behalf. Royce's numbers don't JUMP OUT, but he can amaze you on a given night. He doesn't get much shine rn (with Phoenix having the scoring options it has) but if you need someone to fill in on defence, and still put in effort offensively when your main guy needs a break? I wouldn't look farther than Royce O'Neale. He ain't "Him", But he can sure HELP him.

  • They also shorten the log jam at PG - shortening the rotation to arguably their two most gifted players at that spot: Harden & KPJ.
