• Having a good locker room presence that wont demand minutes will be huge now that this team is competing. Steps up when needed and is a good floor spacer and post playmaker.

Step 2: Decline V. Williams' TO

• Vince recently had an ACL tear, which means he'd be out for the majority of next season; cut your losses now and sign a low-cost guard like Gabe Vincent to get the 3rd string PG minutes.

Step 3: Swap a 2027 2nd for a 2026 2nd

Pacers will likely only need to replace Kobe Brown, and they can do so with their pick this year, assuming it lands in the protected range. Jazz can use that 2nd to get a high-floor, low-ceiling rookie to fill out their backup Shooting guard responsibilities.

Step 4: Draft a defensive-minded wing with the lotto pick

Jaren will certainly help their bottom-30 defense next year, but it'll be a team effort to get to the top 10. Minutes could be hard to find, but I can see whoever it is beating out Cody Williams for the spot.
