What are your positions on this trade?
For the Wolves... Bojan can still play for a couple more years. Burkes can play on the second unit. That horrid contract for merely a 20 point player that has proven he cannot win is about to be he most astronomically poor contract in all of sports for an already expensive roster for the Wolves. If KAT scored 7-10 more points per game and could play stellar defense... he may still not be worth all that money to come after next season with all the other current costs. Add to that the rules have since changed... a team like the Wolves may not recover from this for at least 7+ years unless magic happens to KAT and his game changes to what it has never been, overnight.
On the other hand... the Pistons have tons of cap room they could manage KAT's contract with. The cost for debt is cheap trading 2 older vets away from a very young team... to get a mid-aged player that can stick around and still physically be able to play with the Pistons young players on the chance they be able to get far more production out of KAT in a new system, coach and town (Change of Towns).
Just the nature of the teams, the contract, the costs under the new rules, the lack of production, the lack of drive... they will all hit in the proposal. Think it through and chime in on what your position would be for a type of trade like this under all th surrounding circumstances. Thanks!
