Celtics Offseason

SUCCESS

Fanspo logo

I am a huge Celtics fan who is antsy for this trade process to start. I cooked up 4 separate trades, through the four teams you see here. These moves save 47 million in cap space initially, and also gives Boston two very solid role players in PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford.

Trade #1. Trade Kristaps Porzingis

Celtics get: Jonathan Isaac, #25, #58 Orlando gets: Kristaps Porzingis Brooklyn gets: Cole Anthony, Gary Harris, 3 2nds

This move accomplishes what Boston needs to do; acquire some win now talent, while getting some young players for the future. Pick #58 is sneaky important as well, as that's as low of a salary for one roster spot as they possibly can get to, which is huge for a team with Tatum and Brown eating up $107 million. Orlando acquires a low risk high reward talent in Porzingis, who is only on a one year deal. Worse case scenario is they got off all that salary from Isaac, Anthony and Harris for #25. Best case is Porzingis fits super well into what Orlando needs. More offensive talent, and most importantly more shooting. Nets get picks to eat salary to facilitate deal.

Trade #2. Get off Sam Hauser $$$

Celtics get: #26 Nets get: Sam Hauser, #32

Very Simple trade, as the Nets are rumored to want to get pieces to help winning. They only trade back 6 measly spots, and they already have 5 picks anyway, 4 in the first round, and they get a goof role player who is pretty underrated in Sam Hauser. Celtics free up $10 million and trade up in the draft. feels like a no brainer for both sides.

Trade #3. Trade Jrue Holiday

Celtics get : Daniel Gafford, Dwight Powell, 2029 Lakers First Mavs get: Jrue Holiday Hawks get: Klay Thompson, 1 2nd.

For Boston, it feels like they lose this trade fair and square but getting a good starting center in Gafford is super underrated, as well as getting a pick. For Dallas, this is a no brainer: Getting off a center you don't need for a perfect fit with there current roster. Feels like an A+ for them. For Atlanta, they don't have there picks, so getting a guy in Klay Thompson for free is huge, and he can help them winning this season, and then becomes an expiring for the 2026 offseason to try to trade away. Boston can then flip Powell. Getting assets and a starting caliber center is a win when you take into account they save $14 million, and $18 million once dumping Powell.

Trade #4. Trading Isaac for PJ Washington

Celtics get: PJ Washington Mavs get: Jon Isaac, #25, 2 2nds

Me personally, I am not a big Jon Isaac guy, and LOVE Pj Washington. I think PJ fits way more within this team. If you would do away from this trade and just keep the #25 pick I understand, but getting PJ for this valuable seems fair. For Dallas, they are looking to ship PJ anyway, as they just got Cooper Flagg and have an overabundance of forwards. They get a good pick in this draft where they can take a guard, and can flip Isaac or just play out this year with him and then cut him, as he has $8 guaranteed his final 3 years opera his deal.

Trade #5 Trading back for 2nds

Celtics get: #37, 3 2nds Pistons get: #28

This trade is to recoup 2nd round picks so that they can trade Dwight Powell and Xavier Tillman in salary dumps to get under the tax.

Trades 6 and 7 Sheding Dwight Powell and Xavier Tillman salary

In would attach 2 seconds to get off of Powell and 1 to get off Tillman. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THE NETS TAKING ON THIS SALARY. I just made it the Nets because I can only do 5 teams in a Fanspo Trade Machine

Draft

26 Walter Clayton Jr

I really hope Clayton falls, which he has in a lot of mocks. Great Shot creator who can play make too. Is a winner as shown for Florida last season. When his shot wasn't falling he still found ways to effectively help win games, like that long closeout that forced Emmanuel Sharp to throw the ball down to the ground. Great player, I don't care how old he is.

37 Max Raynaud (or Kalkbrenner if Raynaud isn't here)

Raynaud is a 7'1 big who can score and rebound very well. Has risen up draft boards fast. Can shoot from outside and is great around the rim. Can also pass well, very good overall offensive player, but doesn't jump too high, and defensively needs work.

58. RJ Luis

Very solid player but is going to be 23 come 2025-2026 season, and has some character concerns from that last game at St Johns where he seemingly was pouting throughout the second half. Averaged 18/7/2 and was the best player on a great St Johns team. Starters (25-26) Pg: Payton Pritchard Sg: Derrick White SF: Jaylen Brown PF: PJ Washington C: Daniel Gafford

Bench: Luke Kornet Al Horford Baylor Schiermen Walter Clayton Jr Neemias Queta, Max Raynaud, JD Davison, RJ Luis, Jordan Walsh.

This team without Jayson Tatum would still be a great roster with upside and will definitely need work off the bench. However, this team looks very well for when Jayson Tatum comes back and would likely still be competing for championships just at a cheaper rate.

CELTICS FANS!!! Lmk how I did? How could this have been better? Give this Celtics Offseason a grade. I will definitely be doing more of these these upcoming days/weeks.
