Dallas gets another playmaker to help Luka with the load on offense while De'anthony Melton comes in off the bench for a good veteran defender as they make a push for playoffs. Also they are expiring contracts allows the Mavericks to free up about 40 million in cap this offseason while still being able to contend this season. For the 76ers basically everyone on your roster will be gone this offseason and you probably don't want them to all walk for nothing by doing this you get good rotational players and some draft capital.
