I think both deals could in theory be great pickups for each team.

Buying low on an MVP caliber player could put the Nets in position to compete immediately with tons of assets and cap space to make more moves.

Buying low on PG gives Miller the chance to learn from his favorite player while giving potential upside of jumping into the top 6 next year. If everyone stays healthy and plays up to potential they could in theory win the East.
