BRADLEY BEAL TRADED TO PHOENIX! Trade grades and explanations for both sides!

Disclaimer: These picks may not be completely correct. The report I'm operating on here wasn't too detailed, and this is what I'm imagining the picks look like. The swaps are in favor of the Wizards.

BRADLEY BEAL IS FREE! For the first time in his career, he's no longer stuck on this mediocre Wizards squad and has a real chance to compete. Let's analyze the trade from both sides, starting with the Suns. We won't be analyzing Beal's perspective for this one, because it probably is related to friendships and other factors, and doesn't really matter in the long run.

Suns: A

The Suns hit a home run with this trade. They dealt a player they were going to WAIVE and a bench player and some less valuable picks in exchange for a three-time All-Star one year removed from a 30 PPG season. I don't care that the positioning isn't great; Beal and Booker can both play PG for stretches and they also still managed to keep Cam Payne. I'm surprised the Suns managed to keep Torrey Craig in this deal, good job to them.

Wizards: F

The Wizards had 2 finalists for Beal and chose the obvious wrong choice. I'm pretty sure the Heat offered MULTIPLE FIRST ROUND PICKS in a deal for Bradley. They also offered better players (Lowry > CP3, Duncan Robinson > Landry Shamet) at this point in their careers. They couldn't even get a first round pick in the deal for a three-time All-Star. Heck, the main asset was going to be a free agent anyway if the Wizards didn't pull this deal off. I was hoping that Tommy Sheppard's firing would usher in a new era of intelligent management in Washington, but it seems those hopes were fruitless. Hopefully the new GM is a draft guru, because if he isn't they should've just hired Atto and AsapCohen to run their front office; those two would've done better than this.

Let me know your thoughts on this total finesse of a trade in the comments!
