Why Boston does this? They trade away the better player but receive less money than what they send out, they could around 8M more if they cut Duncan. Porzingis value is higher than his but financials and the tax money they can save with this move probably makes it worth it. Miami also sends two picks to sweeten the deal.
Why Denver does this? They get a 3&D wing whi fits their need better than MPJ and get rid of his bad contract. Miami also sends a second, the unprotected first may be too much tho.
Why Milwaukee does this? Giannis wants out and this is pa good package if they want to remain somewhat copetitive now and in the near future, since they dont control their own picks. Bam, MPJ and Jovic are solid additions. Theyr are also getting 4 firsts from Miami: the Heat selection on draft night (Milwaukee will chose the player they want), 2026 FRP (Bucks send the 2027 swap to unlock this pick and the 2028 one), 2028 FRP, 2030 FRP and 2032 FRP. They are also getting a 2031 pick from Denver (maybe protected).
Of course, a deal from SA, Houston or OKC would definetly be better but I dont think ths teams will go all in for Giannis. They all have a very good and promising young thea that can compete for the future.
Why Miami does this? Well... it obvious, they land Giannis and surround him with enough talent to compete for the championship. A starting 5 of: Davion, Herro, Oubre, Giannis and Porzingis. And a second unit of Jones, Trent, Highsmith, Porter and Ware; would make them the favorite in the east.
Also next year Porzingis 30M, Rozier 24M and Portis 13M will come off the books allowing them more flexibility to make moves and continue improving the roster.
What do you think?
