Why OKC does it: OKC get Giannis a top 3 player in the world to pair up with SGA and Chet. The combination of them could win multiple championships if everyone stays healthy.

Why Milwaukee does it: Milwaukee doesn't control their own draft picks until 2031, so by trading Giannis they receive 5 First round draft picks and swaps, including a clipper's pick in 2027 and a Dallas pick both of which could be valuable. They also get Jalen Williams who is already an All-Star. They could either keep him or flip him for additional draft picks. Isahia Hartenstien is needed to match contracts. Milwaukee could always flip him for additional draft compensation. Milwaukee also receives some young prospects from OKC to help start their rebuild. They take on Julius Randell's contract from the Minnesota Timberwolves contract and instead of receiving draft picks they receive some young prospects including Ron Dillingham from the Timberwolves in exchange for Damian Lillard. The team can then focus on their rebuild.

Why Minnesota does it: Minnesota get's a better point guard to pair up with Rudy Gobert and Anthony Edwards in Damian Lillard, which would provide better their point shooting. Minnesota does not have to give up any picks instead they give up Rob Dillingham and Terrance Shannon Jr. Julius Randell is purley salary filler.
