Lakers: Lakers do this because they get Trey Murphy who is a talented scoring forward on a team-friendly contract at $87 million over three seasons. Buzz in NBA circles has the New Orleans asking price for Murphy at three first-round picks, but the Lakers get it done with all the young talent plus a single draft pick while also getting Missi who is a great backup C and Micah Peavy.

Pelicans: Pelicans do this because they get FANTASTIC bench depth who are mainly all young plus getting a Lakers valuable draft pick.
