Opportunity for the Pacers to reset while helping two contenders

Pacers: These trades allow Indy to reset with a potential “star” in Ben Simmons while providing him with the necessary spacing to succeed. A lineup of Simmons, Brogdon, Kispert, Kuzma, and Turner would enable the Pacers to run a true 4-out offense around Ben while having 3 plus defenders (Ben, Brogdon, and Turner) on the other side. This would represent the first time in years that the “fit” of the Pacers’ roster is clear.

76ers: Opportunity to add two very useful wings — LeVert has shown the potential to be a point-of-attack playmaker and slasher while Duarte is the least expensive starting-level 3&D player available. Both are immediately able to contribute and can elevate the play of the broader team to ensure Philly avoids the play-in games.

Wizards: In Beal’s contract year, Washington copies the Bulls’ move of adding a dynamic big man to support their star. This trade mirrors the Vucevic trade (young pick and two firsts) with just one pick moving to offset the addition of Kuz, who’s more valuable than just “salary filler”
