Lakers: Why: The lakers do this to finally get a centre with great defensive potential and a perfect fit with Luka. They do have to give up austin which hurts. Giving up austin now is a good idea as in 2027-28 season he will be a ufa and the lakers probably wont have enough cap space as they had just signed luka which will be their main priority. Other teams will give him 30+ mill and I dont think they will be able to match it. Lakers also gain cam johnson who adds to their offense.
