FULL TRADE DETAILS:
SUNS RECEIVE: Ja Morant and Scottie Pippen Jr
Phoenix are in need of a PG. The Book-Green-Brooks trio was good until it hit a wall. Book is a SG playing PG, that's why he struggled horribly against the OKC. Acquiring Ja is a low-risk high-reward move, sure he had a down year and just had horrendous shooting splits along with his off-court drama antics this season. But now in Phoenix playing with one of his great friends from that Grizz squad Dillon Brooks, I'm sure he'll get his joy back. You also get SPJ for free as a third string PG, assuming Gillespie will be the backup.
GRIZZLIES RECEIVE: Kyle Kuzma and Bobby Portis
I don't think Grizzlies have to trade Ja unless he specifically asked out; but if he indeed did, this is a fair return for his trade value. Ja is on a Trae-level trade value right now, and I was thinking of putting him on Milwaukee but I don't know if him and Jenkins has a good relationship, and I'm sure Ja would prefer going to Phoenix anyways knowing Dillon is there. Anyway, having Bobby as your vet is a good thing for your gritty young team, and Kuz as an expiring gives you enough space for next season to retool and rebuild your team around Coward, Wells, and Edey, alongside your two first round picks in this deep draft class.
BUCKS RECEIVE: Jalen Green and Royce O'Neale
I'm sure Bucks would've preferred Ja than Green in this trade, but I'm saying that this trade only happens if Ja doesn't want to go to Milwaukee. Green is a good alternative option; a bucket getter that would help remove pressure off Giannis and Rollins. Additionally, Royce O'Neale is your traditional 3&D. A PJ tucker-type, the type of player you want to surround Giannis with. Alongside with the Bucks' pick this deaft class, which in my opinion would be either Yaxel Lendeborg, Kingston Flemings, or Brayden Burries, would be a great fit with this new squad. Lastly, this would be something Bucks will do if Giannis doesn't get traded, in which I agree.
