As for the Bulls, they are clearly in no man’s land, aka, the dreaded middle of the standing. Not bad enough to get a good pick and not good enough to even secure a playoff spot. Might as well trade some of the core and try something new out for at least one season. If it doesn’t work out then whatever, the current core is only going to really last this next season and that’s it. However, if it does work and somehow Harden and Lavine can be a good duo then maybe this can solve everyone’s problem. Plus they get control of two 76ers pick swaps and two seconds.
