If the Jazz commit to a rebuild for the 2025 Cooper Flagg draft, they will likely trade Markkanen for significant 1st round pick draft compensation, but they also trade Sexton and Kessler to the Lakers to increase the draft picks under their control. Lakers would remove the protections on the 2027 1st round pick already owned by the Jazz, and add to it the 2029 (unprotected) and 2031 1st round picks (top 4 protected).
