Curry is a difference-maker, but the reality is, he's not getting younger, and the team he's on isn't built for a championship run. Pistons severely need shooting and, with Tobias' expiring contract this season, this could be their chance to sign and trade with another team.
Curry would instantly become the best second option in the NBA, and having him on a contending team in the East, playing alongside a superstar playmaker like Cade, would be well worth the draft capital they would be forfeiting.
The Warriors here get some young pieces to start their rebuild. A much-needed center, who's able to lockdown defenders and stretch the floor in Stewart, a young prospect with great potential in Ron Holland and Tobias Harris, a reliable vet to be around these young players. Plus, the draft capital, with some very probable late picks, and that 2030 pick, which could be enticing to the Warriors. Maybe the Warriors attach something else in the deal to get this pick unprotected.
