Scenario: The Pelican'ts trade three players who unfortunately are considered "old regime" by the clowns that they just hired to run the show, and therefore disposable. Wiggins has less contract remaining than Murphy at a similar number, Duncan has the ETO, Miami's pick puts them back in the 2026 draft after they realize how dumb it was to trade their own unprotected.

Is this robbery by Miami? Absolutely. Does this make sense for New Orleans? Not unless you just hired Joe Dumars and Troy Weaver, two of the main guys responsible for putting Detroit in a 15 year hole that they're only just now climbing out of. But something like this is probably coming, if not with Miami then probably with Denver or someone else who needs a talent bailout.
