The Grizzlies dump Ja Morant’s contract and no longer have to deal with his inability to stay on the court and they receive 2 good role players, a new starting Small Forward, and a young point guard with a ton of potential that could develop into the next starting great Point Guard in Memphis. The Pacers lose their starting Small Forward who is a great scorer and their backup center but in return get a new starting center that is better than any center on their roster currently and a solid rotational piece at Small Forward to replace Bennedict Mathurin and be the backup to Aaron Nesmith at Small Forward. Timberwolves lose 2 good role players and a young player with a lot of potential but gain a new starting point guard with All-NBA level potential and make a huge improvement at the weakest spot in their starting lineup. (The only reason I traded the Grizzlies Donte and not Conley is because I had to make it work contract wise trading Conley rather than Donte would put Minnesota over the second apron and about $500k over the salary cap). Also assume this trade is done after January 15th because Isaiah Jackson and Naz Reid re-signed contracts using Bird rights with a 20% raise in salary and the Pacers and Timberwolves are over the cap.
