Embiid has been in and out of the lineup. Why not spot him in a twin towers lineup, and/or give the team a All-Star Center and some defense.
76ers give up their rights to the Clippers '28 pick (but keep their rights to swap their '29), pass on the Grimes decision, send out McCain (who'll be behind Maxey & Edgecombe). In return, they get Keon Ellis (who will have to be re-signed after the season, but can play excellent defense at the 2-3) and an all-star center in Zubac. In one trade, they gain a defensive identity, and go for it in the East this year.
Kings send out Keon Ellis and 3 2nds, and get off of LaVine's contract while receiving some value in return this year and beyond. Collins can fill in for / back up Sabonis, gain a young PG in McCain, Jones can play good minutes, and they get to try out Grimes for the rest of the year and retain bird rights. There are definitely flippable assets as well, but they can open up around $40 million in salary room this offseason and possibly get back in the hunt this year.
Clippers threads the needle between competing the next 2 years & getting some draft capital back. Send (possibly) their best piece for the next 3 years out in Zubac, but avoid tanking in the short term without their 1st this year. They gain Zach LaVine to gun for the next two years, and fill the Zu minutes with Lopez / Eubanks this year. They move off $10 million on next season in Jones, keep sheets clean for the '27 free agent offseason, and gain full control of their '28 first and gain 3 2nds as well.
