I'm curious about LA fans' thoughts on this trade; is it a trade that can be balanced with draft picks, or is it just me who finds it logical ?

Houston: They already lack guards and have many draft picks. Even though Tari is a great 3 point shooter and defender, he could easily be traded for Austin. They don't have time to waste waiting for Reed to develop. KD is 37 already.

LAL: Just as Houston needs a guard, the Lakers need a center. Zubac is one of the best centers in the league and has a very good 3 year contract. I don't think the Lakers have any other asset besides Austin to acquire such a center. As long as Luka is healthy, Austin's absence won't be too noticeable. Also, Lakers have the minimum number of draft picks possible, so Zubac + 1st(s) could be a fair trade for Austin.

LAC : They showed they want to rejuvenate their team by trading Harden for Darius. Giving up Zubac and getting two promising young players (Reed and Dalton) and a young player who can be a starter in a championship contending team (Tari) shouldn't be a bad thing for them.
