Why for the Pacers? Indiana has reportedly been interested in trading down in the draft, and have also expressed interest in a variety of forwards including OG Anunoby, Tobias Harris, and DeAndre Hunter. OG is the best of these three players and makes and most sense as Tobias Harris contract is atrocious and DeAndre Hunter is injury prown and inconsistent. Anunoby and is still fairly young too at 25 years old. He is one of the best defensive players in the league and is still growing offensively. Pair him up with all star point guard Tyresse Haliburton and Myles Turner, Indy could be a very tough team to play, add that with the growth of Bennedict Mathurin and other solid young players like Aaron Nesmith, Andrew Nembhard, and a #13 pick where the Indy could still get a quality young player, plus having cap space to sign some decent players like Grant Williams. If everything goes to plan the Pacers could be back into the playoff picture as soon as 2024

Why for the Raptors? OG Anunoby his been subject for trade rumors for a while now, and with the disappointing season it might be time to make some changes, it’s time for Toronto to trade some of their players, including OG. Toronto had also been interested in trading up in the draft, and in this deal they move to #7, here they can selected to quality young player like Tyler Hendricks, Jarace Walker, Ausar Thompson, Cam Whitemore, Gradey Dick, etc. All these players pack very good upside and could be a core piece for the teams future. Plus adding two more first round picks to add more young talent or trade up for another younger player, the Raptors have done good with drafting players with taking guys like Pascal Siakam and OG in the late first round and finding Fred VanVleet undrafted. In addition, the Raptors also acquire two more solid young players in Chris Duarte and Jalen Smith, Duarte had a solid rookie campaign, but slumped a bit in his sophomore season from injuries and lack of playing time, a bigger role could help him take the next step. Jalen Smith his also played decent in the minutes Rick Carlisle gave him, he could thrive in a bigger role. Raptors fans may not want to except it but it may be time to blow up the team and prepare for the future, and this trade would be a solid start.
