Lakers and Blazers go for it, Raptors reload, and Spurs build for the future

SUCCESS

This is essentially three fair trades that involve four teams rather than a four-team multi-trade (Blazers-Spurs, Blazers-Raptors, Raptors-Lakers).

Raptors:

In exchange for OG, FVV, Trent Jr and Boucher, they acquire four first round picks (including a suuuuper juicy Spurs 2024 first), $50m in cap space, and a young fringe all-star on a good contract in Simons.

They build around Barnes, Siakam, Simons, and their 2023 lottery pick. Moreover, with this draft haul and their max cap space, they get to go big-game hunting for a disgruntled superstar in the offseason. They extricate themselves from perpetual mediocrity and aim for something higher.

Blazers:

They trade their two young guards, including potential superstar in Sharpe, to put OG and Poertl with Dame. Dame now has a team of all plus-defenders to go to battle with him in OG, Grant, Hart, Payton, Little, and Poertl. Other than Hart, they can all shoot. They even get a potential small-ball lineup of death. And they still have Nurkic to fill minutes.

Lakers:

Lakers go all in and pick up three starting quality players to pair with AD and Lebron. Is it enough for a ring? Maybe not, but a squad with AD, Lebron, FVV, Trent Jr, Boucher, Walker, and Reaves would be at least as talented as the 2020 team that won it all.

Spurs:

Spurs pick up a young player with unlimited upside to pair with Keldon Johnson, and their two 2023 lottery picks that hopefully both fall in the top 4 to make up a core of the future. They give up a lot to acquire Sharpe (2 firsts and Poertl in exchange for 2 seconds) but it costs a lot for young players with his upside.
