Cavs :
Clearly, they need to start rebuilding. Mobley will 100% be traded, and Donovan will want to leave the Cavs and go to a team where he can be competitive. If Embiid and PG are healthy, they can still be a competitive and watchable team during the rebuilding process. Since they don't have their own draft picks until 2030, trading Embiid and PG is a risk they need to take.
76ers :
They're fine even without Embiid and PG. Adding two young rim protectors like Allen and Mobley to Maxey and VG will ensure the 76ers remain competitive for the next 10 years. As long as KD plays, they can still challenge for a championship. They won't have to worry about whether Embiid and PG will play for 3 years, and they'll be free from the potential dead wage bill of $100 million a year.
Rockets :
With FVV injured, Houston's lack of a reliable ball handling guard resulted in being eliminated(99%) by 41 yo LeBron. Clearly, they don't have many accessible options. If Donovan becomes available on the trade market, the Rockets would need to trade him somehow. Considering the Rockets played the entire season without a point guard, he would solve the team's biggest problem, both with and without FVV. His defense also fits the team's structure. His age also makes him much more compatible with the team's young core.
I think this trade would suit the needs of all 3 teams. I'd like to hear your opinions as well.
