By making this trade the Bucks get a young all-star center in Sengun to retool around, in addition to 2 young players in Reed Shepherd and Cam Whitmore who are both just 20 years old. Sengun is good enough to help the Bucks remain competitive in the east while they pay off their draft pick debt. Speaking of draft picks the Bucks get the 10th pick in a deep draft class and get 2 of the Suns future first round picks in 2027 and in 2029 and Brooklyn's 2027 First in the form of a swap. Those picks likely will be in the lottery. so there is a world where the Bucks are still competitive and still get high draft picks.
